TARA Spa Therapy Promotes Safe Sun
Carmel, CA 2001, TARA Sun Collection, launched in response to the huge success of the company's Rehydrating Aloe treatment, is formulated to soothe, moisturize and protect the skin from the harsh effects of the sun. Sun products, as well as products from TARA Ayurveda, Aromatherapy, Bath and Herbal Ease Collections, are found in many of the country's finest resort and destination spas such as Canyon Ranch, Westin Mission Hills, Mandalay Bay, El Conquistador, The Orchid at Mauna Lani and Four Seasons Resort Hualalai
The base formulations of this popular line including Lavender Face Body Mist, Recovery Gel, Rehydrator Lotion, SPF 15, SPF 30 Body Lotions and Face Serums, have been enhanced with herbal extracts and algae. According to President Tara Grodjesk, "We are so excited about our Sun Therapy collection and the enhancements to the formulations.Our manufacturer specializes in both cosmeceuticals and natural ingredient formulations. As a result, the quality of the added herbal ingredients allows us to provide our clients with an improved product. The collection is packaged in tubes for convenience during outdoor activities."
The Lavender Face & Body Mist is made of purified water, pure essential oil of lavender, aloe vera, and extracts of algae, green tea, sage, nettle, rosemary, chamomile, and witch hazel. This uplifting and refreshing Face & Body Mist instantaneously awakens the senses while soothing, moisturizing and healing the skin. It can be used before and after sun exposure.
The Recovery Gel fragrance is lavender and tea tree and has a very pleasant aroma. In addition, this product contains aloe vera, extracts of calendula, blue mallow, comfrey, shepard's purse, and chamomile. Together, the aloe vera, tea tree and lavender calm and soothe sunburned, irritated or dry skin
The fragrance in the Rehydrator Lotion is from pure essential oils. Tara was very committed to creating an exotic tropical fragrance for the sun line using only pure essential oils, a task very difficult to accomplish as most tropical fragrances in personal care products are made with synthetic fragrancing. Other ingredients include aloe vera, rosehip, avocado and walnut oils, extracts of chamomile, horsetail, rosebud, grapeseed and algae, and pure essential oils of orange, vanilla, and jasmine.
Ultra SPF 15 and 30 protect the body from the harsh effects of the sun.Designed to shield against UVA and UVB light, these effective SPF's are formulated to protect the body 15 or 30 times than without sunscreen. Active ingredient in the SPF 15 is titanium dioxide; additional active ingredients in the SPF 30 are zinc oxide, octyl methoxycinnamate, and benzophenone-3. Both products contain aloe vera gel, safflower, rosehip seed and walnut oils, caprylic/capric triglyceride and Vitamin E.
Face Serums SPF 15 and 30, offering botanical protection for the delicate skin of the face, contain titanium dioxide, a natural sunscreen that scatters UVA and UVB light. Both products have aloe vera, sesame, kukui nut and foraha berry oils, squalane (derived from olives), rosewater, extracts of grapeseed, algae, green tea, comfrey, red clover, and horsetail, pure essential oils of rose geranium, lavender, neroli, palmarosa and peru balsam. The Face Serum SPF 30 has avobenzone, octyl salicylate, octyl methoxycinnamate, and benzophenone-3 in it as well.
