Esperanza Spa Ready To Open!
Carmel, CA -- August 2002. Tara Grodjesk of Tara Spa Therapy, Inc., is winding up her consulting role on the latest spa project for the renowned Auberge Resorts, Inc. -- Esperanza, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (its sister spa, Auberge du Soleil, opened in January of last year). Tara consulted on the development of the spa concept, the physical design of the spa, and then reflected that theme throughout the treatment program and product line.
The central design feature of the spa facility are two (ladies and gentlemen) "Grutas" or grottos offering retreat and refuge from the harsh tropical climate. Each gruta enclave features a water passage, Pasaje de Agua, including shower, outdoor soaking pool, steam caves and a cool down cascading waterfall. Private treatment rooms feature outdoor showers and baths.
Echoing the renowned culinary reputation of Auberge du Soleil, Esperanza's Treatment Program plays upon Mexico's colorful, tropical fruits and vegetables packed with enzymes, fruit acids and rich oils for replenishing the body and nourishing the skin. The enticing treatments include: Papaya-Mango Body Polish, Avocado Butter hair & Scalp Treatment, Grated Coconut and Lime Body Exfoliation and Tropical Essence Massage.
Tara also coordinated the development of product formulations and packaging for Esperanza's refreshingly unique product line called Baja Lime. The products are integrated into the spa treatment program, spa retail and hotel guest rooms. Included in the line are Shampoo, Conditioner, Shower Gel, Body Lotion, Lip Balm, Refresher Mist, Handmade Soap and other specialty products.
